SAT-CHİT-ANANDA
Somewhere in a distant land, the wind was blowing.
It was bitterly cold.
No rain had fallen. The clouds had not burst. The birds had not begun their journey south. The ice had not melted.
Yet even then, the Master had not abandoned his student.
He heard his cry. He felt his pain. And he came to his side.
“Master, my heart is burning. I’m starving for love. I lost my job. I don’t know what to do.”
“I am here. Remember our previous lessons.”
“I don’t know… I’m falling apart. Everywhere I turn feels like hell.”
“Remember. Right now you are living inside an illusion. Inside the Matrix. Will you choose the blue pill or the red one?”
“I remember that lesson. But I never truly understood it.”
“The fact that you believe you are unloved is an illusion. Losing your job is an illusion too.”
“But they hurt.”
“Who is hurting?”
“I don’t know.”
“Then who is speaking to me now?”
“I am.”
“And who do you believe you are?”
“I am your devoted student.”
“Listen carefully. Who are you?”
“I’m listening to you now.”
“How are you listening?”
“With my ears.”
“Is the sound you hear real?”
“I don’t know. It reaches my ears.”
“And are your five senses real?”
“In this life, they are.”
“Didn’t I tell you this life itself is the illusion? The Matrix?”
“You did. But how do I get out?”
“You heard the sound. Who heard it?”
“The me that lives in this world.”
“Is that your true Self?”
“I suppose it isn’t.”
“What within you never changes? What has always been with you?”
“My awareness.”
“Can awareness disappear? Can it be damaged?”
“No.”
“If no one loved you… if you lost your job… would your awareness disappear?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Sat is your eternal Being. Your light. Your true essence. It is everywhere… and nowhere.”
“How can that be?”
“This is the seventh and final gate. The gate of emptiness. The gate of nothingness. Once you pass through it, you arrive.”
“Where?”
“Everywhere. And nowhere.”
“Then who am I?”
“You are pure Awareness. You are Chit. The one who witnesses the illusion without becoming trapped inside it. The one who sees beyond it. You are not bound by it. You are Divine.”
“And who are you?”
“I am Divine as well. Awareness is never separate. Consciousness is not divided. It is one.”
“Then why do people remain trapped inside the Matrix?”
“Because they have forgotten their Sat nature. Their true Being. Their time has not yet come. They continue following the path their lives have laid before them, carried by suffering until they are ready to awaken.”
The Master smiled.
“Sat. Chit. Ananda.”
“Sat is your true Being. The presence that allows this body to exist, this mind to think, this personality to function. It is your essence.”
“Chit is the awareness of that essence. Pure knowing. Pure witnessing.”
“And what is Ananda?” the student asked.
“Ananda is causeless joy.”
“You do not need to be loved. You do not need a career. You do not need approval. You do not need anything from the outside to complete you.
When you know yourself as Sat-Chit-Ananda… when you recognize your Divine nature… joy simply is.”
The student became silent.
“Then what should I do in this world?”
“Find your own way of serving humanity. Help others awaken. Teach them—or simply show them—that there is a way beyond the Matrix. There is no greater service than helping another remember who they truly are.”
The student lowered his head.
“Now I understand.”
“Now I see.”
“I love you, Master.”
Very gently, the Master smiled.
